FUTUREHD is a project launched by a small SME like IZADI that seeks to reinforce its efforts in the clear and decisive commitment to complement Services with its own product, generating a company with greater added value in the supply chain. The clear commitment to strengthen the Engineering, R&D and Commercial areas has led to the generation of new industrial opportunities where the company’s DNA in processes and components associated with the manufacture and repair of transmission components and gearboxes transfers to the market decades of experience where the logical step could be understood by the Customers.
During the last few years, Izadi has developed small/medium size gearbox solutions with good penetration, as well as commercial and marketing actions where the IZDIT brand was launched in 2022 with sales of gearboxes for important sectors such as lifting or paper converting.
The FUTUREHD project proposes a new step within the IZDIT brand oriented to the entry of the company in the design and manufacture of large gearboxes with high added value where it would go from a commodity to large adhoc projects of solutions with high margins / high risk, where the bet initiated by Izadi would be consolidated and generating a complete portfolio of products within the range of industrial gearboxes where, in many occasions, entering in the large gearboxes, opens the door to the rest, something that does not occur in reverse.
As such, the biggest technological challenge will be to make the leap to a family of gearboxes, which, due to the ultimate responsibility and importance of the project, will require the construction of solid processes for design, production control, assembly processes, validation, etc., far superior to those currently available to the company. The main technological challenges will be associated with the dimensions of the components to be designed/manufactured.
The FUTUREHD project is expected to result in a new family of large HD gearboxes with high reliability performance and incorporating important innovations.
